Explore how IOM, in partnership with Toti, supported the training and employability of 60 migrants in the technology field.
About the Organization
Founded in 1951, IOM, the UN Migration Agency, is the leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration. The organization works closely with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners to promote humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all.
Challenge
Aiming to provide humane and dignified migration for the world's population, the UN Migration Agency (IOM) developed the Oportunidades Project. This initiative receives funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and its mission is to drive the economic integration of Venezuelans and migrants from neighboring countries residing in Brazil. As one of the actions of this project, IOM sought out Toti to promote social transformation in the lives of these individuals.
"It's a joy to see they have this opportunity to enter the tech sector and regain their autonomy."

Solution
Develop the careers of migrants in the technology field with the goal of providing increased income and quality of life for these individuals. To achieve this, training classes were developed, which included a series of workshops and mentoring sessions focused on the job market. Additionally, an Employability Workshop was held, where students presented practical projects and networked with Toti's partner companies.
